Robert R. Pavlik's Obituary
Robert R. Pavlik, age 75, of Lorain passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born on September 19, 1938 in Creighton, Pennsylvania to John and Josephine Pavlik. Robert was a 1957 Class B graduate of Lorain High School. Upon his graduation he went on to further his education at Baldwin Wallace College. He was employed by Ford Motor Company as a stock checker, retiring in 1990 after 30 years of service.
Robert loved music and playing the accordion and was a member of the band “The Group” for over 20 years. Bowling, gardening and traveling to the casinos in Windsor brought him much enjoyment. Robert really loved spending the winters in Florida with his wife, Sharon.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sharon (nee Rozich); sons, Jeff (Jenn) Pavlik, of Michigan and Bob (Cathy) Pavlik, of Sheffield Village; daughter, Laurie (Bob) Bove, of Amherst; grandchildren Krystina (Bryant) Bitar, Alyssa Bove, Megan (Dan) Blancho, John, Chris, Jill, Matt, Cassandra and Briana Pavlik; beloved cousin, Donna (Ron) Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Josephine Pavlik and his brother Ken Pavlik.
The Pavlik family will receive friends on Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst where closing prayers will be held on Monday, January 27th. at 9:15 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst. Rev. Fr. Michael Denk will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
