Robert A. "Bob" Wolfe's Obituary
Robert A. “Bob” Wolfe, age 70, of Amherst, passed away very unexpectedly on Monday, January 11, 2021.
He was born on August 26, 1950 in Lorain, but lived most of his life in Amherst. He is a 1968 graduate of Admiral King High School, where he played football. He then attended Heidelberg College where he earned his bachelor’s degree and played and coached football.
Bob was an excellent salesman of all sorts. He made many lasting relationships with everyone he worked with. He knew everybody anywhere he went, even when he would travel out of the state of Ohio. He truly enjoyed what he did for a living and loved making people laugh. He also enjoyed coaching kids’ softball, baseball, soccer, and basketball, and if he was not coaching, he was always in attendance cheering from the sidelines. In his free time, Bob enjoyed driving his 1972 Corvette, as well as woodworking, especially when he created his pieces for his home and family.
Robert is survived by his wife of 14 years, Sara I. (nee DeJesus); his son, Matthew (Vikeena), of Coppell, TX; his step-children, Annie (Ray) Elabd, of Lakewood, Tony (Evelyn) Ballesteros, of Lake Elsinore, CA, Junny (Amanda) Ballesteros, of Phoenix, AZ, and Millie (Adam) Melendez, of Lorain; his grandchildren, Andrew, Mavian, Luke, and Ezra; 16 step-grandchildren; his former wife, Judy, of Amherst; and his siblings, John (Patty) Wolfe, of Lorain, Barb (Steve) Brown, of Oberlin, Russ (Suzy) Wolfe, of Oklahoma City, OK, and Joanne (Ray) Guzman, of Vermilion. He is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews.
