Ronald J Betchker's Obituary
Ronald J. Betchker, age 65, of Amherst passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at University Hospitals Amherst Health Center.
He was born on November 8, 1950 in Lorain, Ohio to the late Joseph and Mary Jane (nee Krumpak) Betchker. He was a 1969 graduate of Avon High School and was a United States Army Veteran.
Ronald worked as a machinist at U.S. Steel, retiring in 2001 after 32 years of service.
He enjoyed bowling and was quite the handyman as he could fix anything. He was a caring man and he enjoyed nothing more than helping his family and friends.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rose (nee Grm); son, Erik (Monica) Betchker; daughter, Lori Betchker, of Maryland; and his grandchildren, Marlena, Tayvion, Ray and Jack.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst where funeral services will be held on Monday, June 13th. At 11:00 a.m. Rev. Fr. Daniel Divis, Pastor of St. Mary’s Church, will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
