Ronald L. Harned, age 88, passed away on December 18, 2025 in Lorain, Ohio. He was born on March 31, 1937 in Albright, West Virginia, to the late Ray and Fannie (née Livengood) Harned.
Ronald was a 1955 graduate of Kingwood High School and went on to build a long and successful career with Panasonic, retiring as an assistant divisional manager. He took great pride in his work ethic and leadership. In recognition of his character and service, he was awarded the American Legion Citizenship Award.
In his free time, Ronald enjoyed reading, gardening, and challenging himself with crossword puzzles. He was known for his intelligence, steady presence, and love for his family.
He was the beloved husband of Julia P. (née Ashba) Harned of 36 years and a loving father to Rita Harned (Dennis), Jennifer Asimou (Tom), the late Jeremy Harned, Michelle Sanford (William “Fred”), and Kimberly Miller (William). He was a cherished grandfather to Shawna Morris (CJ), Patrick Sanford, Kenneth Sanford, Jacob Harned (Melissa), Aaron Miller (Elizabeth), and Brian Miller (Kelsey Stevens), and a treasured great-grandfather to Joseph, Lucas, Hadley, Lillian, William C., Max, Emberlynn, Maddy, Tucker, and Colson.
He will be privately laid to rest in Protzman Cemetery in Preston County, West Virginia at a later date.
