Ronald "Griz" Livingston's Obituary
Ronald "Griz" Livingston, 66, of Lorain, Ohio passed away on July 17, 2025 following
complications from illness. He was born on January 20, 1959 in Elyria, Ohio.
Griz was the beloved husband of Shelly Livingston, with whom he shared 37 years of love and
partnership. He was a devoted father to Joshua Livingston (Liz Conn) and their daughter, Char.
He is survived by his loving mother, Rosemarie Livingston; brothers Randy Livingston (Kelly)
and John Livingston; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John “Jay” Livingston, and his brother, Jeffrey
Livingston.
Griz retired from Erie Construction after more than 20 years of dedicated service. In his younger
years, he was an avid athlete, playing basketball, football, and baseball. A lifelong sports fan, he
loved rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes, the University of Cincinnati Bearcats, and the Cleveland
Guardians. He enjoyed playing poker, golfing, and also had a deep passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles and found joy riding alongside his beloved wife, Shelly.
Griz will be remembered for his generous spirit, quick wit, and the deep love he had for his
family and friends.
Family and friends will be received for visitation on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00
PM, with a service beginning at 7:00 PM at Dovin & Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation
Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, OH 44001.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude
