Ronald Nau's Obituary
Ronald R. "Ronnie" Nau, age 55, of Lorain, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2017, at the Mercy New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain.
He was born to Ronald and Lois (nee West) Nau on March 29, 1961, in Lorain and was a 1979 graduate of Southview High School. Shortly after graduation, he married his high school sweetheart and soul mate, Shirley (nee Hobbs), in 1980.
Ron worked at Spanmaster, right out of high school. After that, he worked for York International, Angelica Health Care, and most recently was employed with the Lorain County Engineering and Street Department. When not at work, he always looked forward to riding his Harley, going boating and fishing. The thing that made him happiest though, was spending his free time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Lois (nee West) Nau of Lorain; sister, Lori (Chip) Dubosh of Avon Lake; brother, Robert (Konya) Nau of Lorain; and nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Cleo.
Ron was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Shirley (nee Hobbs) Nau; and his father, Ronald Nau.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 4, from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Private inurnment will be held at a later date.
Ronnie was a true animal-lover and his wishes would be that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Fido's Companion Dog Rescue, P.O. Box 518, Avon, Ohio 44011.
