Ronald "T-Bone" Taylor's Obituary
Ronald "T-Bone" Taylor, age 78, of Amherst, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025. He was born on March 15, 1947, to the late Ollie “Bob” Taylor and Dorothy M. Clark.
A 1965 graduate of Admiral King High School, Ronald proudly served his country as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable service, he dedicated over 30 years to a career at U.S. Steel before retiring.
T-Bone enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and was an active member of many veteran and fraternal organizations, including the VFW in Lorain, DAV in Elyria, AMVETS, the Eagles in Amherst, Black River Masonic Lodge #786, and he was a 32nd Degree member of the Scottish Rite.
He was the beloved husband of Rosemary (née Poyle) Taylor; loving father of Jerrod (Mariana), Kimberly Irene, and Jolene Marie; cherished grandfather of Ava, Sophia, Layla, Brandi (deceased), Joe, Michael, Rosemary, and Jessica; and proud great-grandfather of nine. He also leaves behind his faithful canine companion, Vinny.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st, 2025 from 9-10 AM with a service beginning at 10 AM at Dovin & Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, OH 44001. Interment with military honors will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
