Rosann B. Pasterak's Obituary
Rosann B. Pasterak (nee Homolya), age 86, of Lorain, passed away after a brief illness at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home, Lorain, on Thursday, March 17, 2022.
She was born on December 14, 1935 in Lorain, where she lived her entire life and is a graduate of Lorain High School. For the most of her life she devoted herself to taking care of her home, husband, and children. However, for a few years, she worked at DeLuca’s Place in the Park as a caterer. Rosann was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Lorain. She was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary for the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 451.
She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed watching her cooking shows. Rosann also loved gambling, especially at the slot machines, and always looked forward to her many trips to different casinos. And, when she had time, she always enjoyed reading, especially her favorites of murder-mystery books.
Rosann is survived by her children; George Pasterak, Nancy (Tom) Longstreth, and David Pasterak, grandchildren; George Pasterak III, Jessica (Glenn) Willard, and Jeffrey Longstreth, and great grandson, Logan Willard.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, George Pasterak, in 2021, and her parents; Frank and Betty (nee Toth) Homolya.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 24th, from 9:00 am until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 am at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
