Rose G. Palacios' Obituary
ROSE G PALACIOS
Rose G. Palacios, daughter of the late Thomas and Adelina Gonzales, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, January 20, 2025. She was born in Ft. Worth, Texas on November 20, 1937.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Frank Palacios, whom she married on June 30, 1956. Rose is also survived by her daughters, Dora (John) Armstrong of Amherst, Jo Palacios (with whom she resided) of Lorain and sons Frank Jr. (Maria) of Orange, CA, Dan (Cindy) of Jeffersonville, IN and Richard (Jennifer) of Shelbyville, KY along with one brother, Rudy (Sandy) Gonzales of Joshua, TX. She loved spending time with her 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Vallejo, Mary Casillas, Helen Reyes and Suzi Gonzales as well as brothers Tom, Eddie and Robert.
Rose and her husband Frank moved to Lorain in 1960. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Restored Gospel in Lorain, Ohio for the past 61 years. She was an ordained Deaconess in the church and was also a member of the Ladies Circle, MBA and Sunday School. She and her husband went on many missionary trips over the years to Canada, Mexico, Venezuela and Columbia. Rose LOVED reading the scriptures for hours at a time and she enjoyed listening to gospel music. The Lord blessed her with many experiences over her lifetime in the church.
The family will receive family and friends on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 10:00 am until the time of her funeral service at 12:00 pm at Dovin & Reber Jones Funeral Home located at 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road in Amherst, Ohio. Elder Mark Naro of The Church of Jesus Christ Restored Gospel will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park located at 44805 N. Ridge Road, Amherst. The family would like to thank Mercy Health New Life Hospice for their wonderful care of Rose over the last eight months, especially Isabel, Joy and Laurie.
