Russell W. McKnight's Obituary
Russell W. McKnight, age 60, of Lorain passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 at Mercy New Life Hospice after a brief illness. He was born August 28, 1959 in Lorain, Ohio to Richard and Elizabeth (nee Troskey) McKnight.
Russell was a self-employed contractor working in the construction industry. He was extremely passionate about his carpentry work.
He loved building model cars, woodworking, and enjoyed collecting anything he thought he would need at some point.
Russell is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kathy (nee Dillon) McKnight; son, Russell W. McKnight Jr.; daughters, Linda Ochoa, and Blanca McKnight; brother, Rick (Marilyn) McKnight; and his sisters, Darlene Younkin, Terri McKnight, Conni (Jim) Fox, and Cindy (Steve) Luster.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Elizabeth McKnight; brother, Jim Morgan; and his sister, June Gregg.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral center.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the funeral home will be following specific guidelines to ensure the safety of all visitors. We ask that you enter through our main entrance of the funeral center, please pay your respects to the family, and exit immediately after through our gathering center door. We encourage all visitors to wear face covering, limited seating will be provided for the service to ensure that a six feet separation is maintained.
