I had no idea about Ruth's passing until today...I knew her throughout my childhood and beyond. When I was a kid I thought she was about the funniest, coolest adult I had ever met. I remember wishing many times that she was my mom! There was never a dull moment when she was around. I don't remember a time when she wasn't cracking a joke or sharing a laugh with everyone around her. Truly a ray of sunshine.

Please let me express my deepest sympathy with the loss of your mom.
Even though I have not seen her over 25 years I was still saddened by the news of her passing.
I chuckled to myself cuz I still remember that when I would call you and talk with your mom she would always end the conversation not with good bye but with "good day" or something similar to that.
Please also express my condolences to your family as well.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Miss Ruth's passing. She was a remarkable women and an extraordinary mother that held the hearts of her children and all those who knew and, loved her. The kindness she always showed me will never be forgotten she and the entire Howser family was such a positive influence in my life. I wil never forget her smile, laugh, and rigatoni! She always welcomed me into her home, made me feel apart of the family, and even helped me celebrate my 18th birthday when I couldn't be with my own family.
