Ruth Loczi's Obituary
Ruth “Marilyn” Loczi (nee Myers), age 79, of Elyria, passed away peacefully at EMH Regional Medical Center Intensive Care Unit Monday night, May 30, 2011, following a two month illness.
Marilyn was born on April 1, 1932 in Rochester, PA and was a 1949 graduate of Rochester High School. She came to Lorain County to attend M.B. Johnson School of Nursing in Elyria. She was a graduate of the nursing class of 1952. She proudly shared that honor with her daughter, Jennifer, who was a graduate from there in 1983. Marilyn was previously employed as a registered nurse in surgery at Elyria Memorial Hospital.
She enjoyed reading, shopping, spending time with her family and was of the Lutheran Faith.
Marilyn leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband, Elmer J. Loczi; her son, Daniel B. (Peggy) Loczi; her daughters, Diane A. (Robert) Brandon and Jennifer E. (James Heimann) Loczi; and her grandchildren, Eric and Meredith Loczi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel B. and Ruth M. Myers; and her infant sister, Donna; and her dear cat, Bambi.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 2nd from 12:00 noon until the time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst. Rev. Charles A. Butcher, Pastor of North Eaton Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
