Ruth Marie Nott's Obituary
Ruth Marie Nott (nee Huya), born on August 15, 1940, in South Amherst, Ohio, to Ignatius and Inez (nee Burgett) Huya, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Mercy New Life Hospice Center.
Ruth graduated from South Amherst High School and dedicated much of her life to creating a warm and loving home for her family. When her daughters grew older, she pursued a career as a skilled meatcutter at Rini Rego Grocery Store. Ruth’s passion for nurturing extended beyond her family as she served as a devoted Girl Scout Leader for her daughters' troop.
Her interests were as varied as they were heartfelt—she delighted in photography, treasured family vacations and camping trips, enjoyed knitting and shopping, and could often be found unwinding by playing games on her phone.
Ruth is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Dale Edward Nott; and her daughters, Diane Nott, and Joanne Nott.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ignatius and Inez Huya; and her brother, Gerald Huya.
Private funeral services were held under the direction of the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.dovinreberjones.com
