Sandra J. Bodine's Obituary
Sandra Jane Bodine 1941-2024
Our dear mother, Sandra Jane Bodine, passed on to glory February 2, 2024 at her home in Ohio. She was 82 years old. Mom was married for 53 years to the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Bodine, who preceded her in death in 2010. She will be greatly missed by all of her family, but we know she is now in a better place than this world could ever provide. Mom talked often about getting to see Dad again up in heaven and experiencing God, His glorious Son, the angels and the Father's wonderous creation there.
Mom was lovingly cared for until the end by her daughter Linda (Brian) Mock. She is also survived by her two sons Bob (Marianela) Bodine, Dave (Joy) Bodine, and her youngest daughter Brenda Bodine. Also surviving Mom is her sister Estelle (James) Buel, her half brothers Bill (Tita) Cheatham, James (Kathy) Cheatham and half sister-in-law Cindy Cheatham whose husband Lee preceded Mom in death. On Dad's side of the family, Mom is survived by four of his seven sisters (Ellen Ruck, Nancy Carol Walker, Sally Snyder and Peggy Cox) and three brothers-in-law (Howard Grise, Quinton Walker and Tom Cox). She was preceded in death by three of Dad's sisters (Emily Stewart, Susie Shaver and Annie Mae Grise) and four brothers-in-law (Randall Stewart, Charles Shaver, Richard Ruck and Jack Snyder). Mom thought of Dad's sisters like her very own, and she and Dad even lived with them for a time back on the home place in Kentucky after they first got married. Mom is survived by eight grandchildren [Justin (Adrienne) Lenhart, Tad Lenhart, Nikki (Ben) Miller, Rebecca Bedacht, Lexie Mock, Sam Bodine, Derek Bodine and Eryk Bodine], along with seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Ian Bodine, as well as her parents.
Burial will be private at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Please send any memorial gifts for Mom to Lambertville United Methodist Church. You can give online at their website or send a gift to their address: 8165 Douglas Road, Lambertville, MI 48144.
