Sandra Kay Krieg's Obituary
Sandra Kay Krieg (nee Robertson), age 75, of Vermilion, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain.
She was born on November 23, 1946 in Parkersburg, W. VA, but lived in Amherst for most of her life. Throughout her working years, she worked at Ben Franklin, was a dispatcher for Amherst Police Department, and finally worked at Ford Motor Company where she retired from. Sandra was a member of the VFW Post #1662, Eagles #1442, and the American Legion Post #118.
Sandra enjoyed arts & crafts, reading, and working on word puzzles. She was a fan of Elvis and loved watching the Cleveland Indians and Browns as well as cheering on Ohio State. Sandra had a huge place in her heart for animals, as she would take in and care for many strays until she could find them their “forever” home. Her greatest joy though was spending time with her family and loved ones.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Sanford; son, Kenny Moffette; step-sons, Brent (Beth) Krieg and Ryan Krieg; grandchildren, Nickolas, Anson, Sydney, Addison, Cooper, and Charlotte; and great grandsons, Jayden, Jasper, and Jackson Moffette.
She was preceded in death by her parents, De Royce & Marjorie Robertson and her brother, Robert Morgan.
The family will receive friends for a memorial service on Thursday, July 28th, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Pastor Marvin Osborn will officiate. Family and friends are also invited to attend a celebration of her life at 5:00 pm at German’s Villa, 3330 Liberty Avenue, Vermilion, OH on the same day, Thursday, the 28th.
