Sarah S. Knick's Obituary
Sarah S. Knick (nee Johnson), age 63, of Lorain, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at University Hospital in Cleveland following a lengthy illness.
She was born on July 23, 1950 in Jackhorn, Kentucky and has resided in Lorain since 1971.
Sarah worked as a dietary manager for 21 years at Sprenger Health Care Facilities, retiring from there 7 years ago.
Spending time with her grandchildren and children brought her the greatest joy.
She was a member of Lorain Church of Christ Toledo Road.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Kenneth; daughters, Emily (Anthony) Cole, of Grafton, Daphne Johnson, of Lorain; her son, Sam (Deidre) Nazelrod, of Lorain; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; her sister, Irene Reckhart, of Kingwood, WV; and her brothers, Connie Johnson, of Hazard, KY, Douglas Johnson, of Vermilion and Ernest Johnson, of Lorain.
Sarah was preceded in death by her father, Morgan Johnson in 1980 and her mother, Baby Johnson in 1996; her brothers, Henry Clay, Charles and Beryl Johnson; and her sisters, LaRuth Burke and Arbutus Haynes.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 1-5 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 10th in the funeral center at 11:00 a.m. Steve Cain will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
