Sharon L. Corrao's Obituary
Sharon L. Corrao (nee Cuson) age 81, of Lorain passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Ames Family Hospice Center, in Westlake.
She was born on June 22, 1935 in Elyria, Ohio to Jay and Augusta (nee Geotz) Cuson. Sharon was a member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church. She enjoyed going to the casino’s and her dogs but her greatest love was her grandchildren.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 58 years, Michael; her daughters, Dawn (Tim) Cuevas, of Monaca, PA, Rita (Gary) Adkins, of Lorain, and Monica (Tim) McGuigan, of Lorain; grandchildren, Nicole Corrao, Jennifer Corrao, Brittany (Matt) Loftus, Briana (Dave Morgan) Cuevas, Gary (Emily Conrad) Adkins, Corey (Melanie) Adkins, Sean McGuigan, and Samuel McGuigan; 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 step great-grandchildren; and her sister, Doris Rainey, of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Jay Corrao, in 2001; parents, Jay and Augusta Cuson; sisters, Mildred Kiser, Marcelline Strait, and Dolores Gruver; brothers, Don, Vernon, L.D., Jack, Robert, Warren and Richard.
The Corrao family will receive friends on Monday, September 5, 2016 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral &Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Closing prayers will be held at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6th. in the funeral center followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Church, 2143 Homewood Drive, Lorain. Rev. Fr. John Retar, Pastor, will officiate. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
