Shirley M. Motsch's Obituary
Shirley M. Motsch (nee Kauffman), age 89, of Lorain, passed away on April 10, 2016, at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home, Lorain.
She was born on March 17, 1927, in Lorain. She returned to Lorain after raising a family in Avon. Shirley was a 1945 graduate of St. Mary Academy. After graduation, she continued her education at Kent State. She was a member of St. Mary Parish, in Lorain, and was also a member of the St. Joseph Hospital and Health Center Volunteer Auxiliary. Shirley was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a wonderful grandmother, always enjoying her time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also an avid reader.
Shirley is survived by her sons; Barry B. (Joyce) Motsch, of Lorain, Bruce R.Motsch, of Columbus, and Brian L. (Lynn) Motsch, of Avon Lake, her three grandsons; Jeremy (Elizabeth) Motsch, Justin (Molly) Motsch, and Jeffrey (Melissa) Motsch, and her three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Motsch, in 1978, her parents; Bruce and Lucille (nee Sage) Kauffman, and a sister, Lucille Robson.
The family is holding private services. The Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, OH 44001, is handling arrangements.
