Shirley Roesel's Obituary
Shirley A. Roesel, born on November 16, 1941 to John and Leona Smith passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the Normandy Care Center in Rocky River, OH. Shirley was a former resident of Lorain and had been currently residing in Traverse City, Michigan.
She was a volunteer for the Catholic Human Services in Michigan and she enjoyed cookin and playing cards. Her most treasured time was with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her children, Sherry (Daniel) Squires, of Parma, Earl (Diane) Roesel, of Michigan, Amy (Mike) Wagner, of Willoughby, and Kevin (Jessica) Roesel, of Kentucky; grandchildren, Corey, Devin, Michael, Madeline, Matthew, Monica, Katy, Nicole, Jonathan, Leslie, Leah and Brody; great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Louise) Smith, John (Linda) Smith and Donald (Sue) Smith; and her sisiter, Phyllis (Sam) Hinton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Roesel Sr., in 1998 and her parents John and Leona Smith.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 11110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, OH. Funeral services will follow the visitation in the funeral center at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, OH
