Shirley S. Tsai's Obituary
Shirley S. Tsai (nee Wu), 68, of Elyria, passed away Monday, March 2nd 2015.
Shirley was born in Tainan, Taiwan and graduated from Providence University. She taught English in junior high school before immigrating to the U.S. in 1985.
Shirley enjoyed yard work, gardening, and was a wonderful family woman, a loving wife, and most of all, a dedicated mother and grandmother.
She attended the life group, led by Pastor Bob Wickens, at Church of Open Door in Elyria.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 41 years, George Tsai of Elyria; daughter, Dori Tsai-Miller of Avon; son-in-law, Dale Miller II; son, Ian Tsai of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; daughter-in-law, Amanda Tsai; granddaughters, Tia and Jocelyn Miller; grandsons, Tyan and Talan Tsai; step-granddaughter, Alexia Garza; brother, Dr. Jen-I Wu of Taiwan; sisters Shwu Wu-Wang of Taiwan and Shwuchen Chai of Westlake; niece, Charlene Shih Horvath of Boston, Massachusetts, nephews, Dennis Wu of Houston, Texas and Chendy (Tony) Chai of Westlake; and many other nieces and nephews.
A private service was held in Shirley’s honor. A tribute can be made in Shirley’s name for research and development for curing breast cancer at www.bcrfcure.org.
The Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, Amherst, was in charge of the arrangements.
