Stanley J. Mejak's Obituary
Stanley J. Mejak “Papo”, age 75, of Vermilion passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake.
He was born on January 9, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio to Stanley and Anne (nee Witczak) Mejak.
Stanley made his career as a truck driver, driving for Fisher Foods for 20 plus years and E & L Transport. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. He was a jack of all trades. He really enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Vivian (nee Weaver); children, Cheri (Tom) Cika, Lori (Dave) Anderson, Ronald J. Mejak, and Tami Dreher, all of Brunswick and Jennifer (Frank) Iafolla, of Vermilion; grandchildren, Adam, Brandy, Tommy, Scott, Ryan, Mike, Ashley, Brittany, Tiffany, Nicholas, Hanna, Gilia, and Isabella; and 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Mejak; sisters, Carol Weiss, Elaine Shoaps, and Mary Kay Mejak; mother-in-law, Ethel Weaver; sister-in-laws, Janet Craig, Louella Brown, Darlene Shields, and Esther Ramey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Anne Mejak; granddaughter, Nicole Dreher; and his brother, Larry Mejak.
The family will receive on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, OH where funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. immediately following the visitation. Rev. Father Ron Brickner, of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion will officiate. Private family interment will take place at a later date.
