Stella Kobal's Obituary
Stella Kobal (nee Semyczyk), age 88, of Amherst, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2017, at Elmcroft Senior Living, Amherst.
She was born on September 11, 1928 in Lorain, and later, moved to Amherst in the early 1950’s. She was a graduate of Lorain High School and was a member of St. Joseph Church, in Amherst.
Stella will be missed by her sons; Edward J. (Barbara), of Vermilion and Jeffrey M., of Amherst. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, in 1983, parents; Michael and Mary (nee Julock) Semyczyk, and her siblings; Kathryn (Joe) Howard, Rose (Walace) Wallendukanis, Anne (Frank) Radik, Sophie (Elmer) Roose, Joe Semyczyk, Mary (Ray) Kachel, and Alex (Wilma) Simms.
The family will receive friends on Monday, from 1:00 pm until the time of her funeral service at 2:00 pm, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Fr. Timothy J. O’Connor, Pastor of St. Joseph, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
