Susan L. Allsop's Obituary
Susan L. (Sinclair) Allsop, age 80, of Amherst, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018.
She was born in Lorain on January 24, 1938, to the late Otis Sinclair and Lorraine (Pletcher) Glass. She resided in Amherst for the past 50 years. Susan is a 1956 graduate of South Amherst High School and a 1970 graduate of Kent State Unniversity. She was a substitute teacher for Amherst, South Amherst, and Murray Ridge Schools. She attended First United Methodist Church in South Amherst for over 55 years and was a member of Amherst Garden Club for over 40 years. Susan enjoyed gardening, fishing, and traveling with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Dr. John Allsop, daughters; Deborah (Robert) Rose, of Apex, NC and Dr. Jennifer Allsop, of Milan, OH, her three grandsons; Jeremy, Brian, and Matthew, and a dear family friend, Olivia Rault.
In addition to her parents and her step-mother (Myrtle), she was preceded in death by her brothers; Richard Allen and James Sinclair.
The family will be holding private services at a later date. The Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, is honored to assist the family arrangements.
