Tammy "Tammy" McCormack's Obituary
Tamara "Tammy" J. McCormack, age 66, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Kingston of
Vermilion after a long, courageous battle Multiple Sclerosis. Born on July 16, 1958, in Lorain, Ohio, to Richard “Mac” McCormack and Patricia (née Sposato) McCormack, Tammy was known for her tenacity, love for adventure, and her
deeply independent spirit. A 1977 graduate of Lorain Catholic High School, Tammy was a talented athlete, serving as the pitcher for the
softball team, and a gifted musician, playing the French horn in the school band. After high school, she attended Lorain County Community College and held various jobs throughout her life, ultimately finishing
her career in distribution with USA Today Newspaper. Tammy had a passion for the great outdoors, finding joy in fishing and camping. She especially loved sharing her outdoor adventures with her nieces and nephews, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Determined, strong-willed, and fiercely independent, she was known for setting her mind to a task and seeing it through to completion. Her adventurous spirit, warmth, and love made her truly one of
a kind. She is survived by her beloved mother, Patricia McCormack; her sister, Deborah L. McCormack; her brother, Terence McCormack (Cindy); nephews Eric and Billy McCormack; niece, Ashley O. McCormack; and nine great-nieces and nephews. Tammy was preceded in death
oy her father. Richard "Mac" McCormack; her brother, John F. McCormack; her great-niece, Julia R. McCormack; and
her grandparents, John and Julia (née Jacobs) Sposato. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park
Road. Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Monday. September 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral center, with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.
