Teressa Nemeth's Obituary
Teressa Nemeth, a 1974 graduate of Southview High School, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024 after a long struggle with ALS. She can best be remembered by her numerous activities that included gardening, bee keeping, cooking, and nutrition, biking, paddling a kayak, and always being involved in physical activities. Losing her ability to perform any of these activities was particularly stressful because of the muscle wasting character of ALS. However, the strength of her faith sustained her until the end. She is survived by her husband, Edward; her family; and a circle of devoted friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral center. Rev. Father Neil Walters will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Elyria.
Contributions may be made in memory of Teressa to the “Teressa J. Nemeth Scholarship Fund” at the Community Foundation of Lorain County, 9080 Leavitt Road, Elyria, OH 44035. In June of 2022, Teressa established this scholarship fund.
