Theodore Kozloski's Obituary
Theodore "Ted" L. Kozloski, 78, of Lorain, passed away suddenly Saturday Nov. 14, 2009 in his home. He was born on Feb. 15, 1932 in Glennsummit, Pennsylvania. He moved to Lorain as a child and has been a resident of Lorain for 70 years.
Ted was a 1949 graduate of Lorain High School. He attended college for a year in Pennsylvania after high school graduation. He entered the U.S. Coast Guard in 1951 and was stationed in Hawaii and sailed throughout the Pacific during his enlistment. He was honorably discharged in 1954.
He worked in maintenance at BF Goodrich with over 30 years of service. He retired in 1992.
Ted was a member of the Church of St. Peter, Lorain and the American Legion Post # 30. He enjoyed bowling and golf and was an avid Cleveland Browns, Cavs and Indians fan.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Geraldine (nee Salanci); sons, Larry, Teddy and Leonard Kozloski all of Lorain; daughters, Teresa Boren and Laura Plues both of Dallas Texas; grandchildren, Matthew Austin, Jamie Coker, Christine and Karen Kozloski; brother, Alfred (Wanda) Kozloski of Arlington, Massachusetts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Helen (nee Knoll) Kozloski and his brother, Joseph Kozloski.
Family will receive friends on Monday Nov. 16, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst. Prayers will be held at the funeral center Tuesday Nov. 16, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
