Thomas L. Lorenzo's Obituary
Thomas L. Lorenzo, age 72, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at New Life Hospice Residential Center.
Born on August 2, 1942 in Punxsutawney, PA, to the late Vetus and Margaret (nee Horvath) Lorenzo, he graduated from Punxsutawney High School in 1960. He resided in Huron and Vermilion prior to making Lorain his home.
Thomas served in the US Army for 8 years. He was a staff sergeant.
For 27 years, Thomas worked for Ford Motor Company at the Lorain Assembly Plant as a line worker, retiring in 1996.
He was a member of the UAW Local 2000, Italian American Veteran's Post 1, and the Little Men of Punxsutawney group.
In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Debbie (nee Urban); his son, David (Michelle) Lorenzo, of West Palm Beach, FL; his daughters, Lisa (Chris) Tomshack, of Avon and Jodi (Chris) Lorenzo-Schibley, of Greensboro, NC; his grandchildren, Ashley (Adam) Hughes, Shannon, Christopher and Zack Tomshack, and Aidan and Alexis Schibley; and his great-granddaughter, Fynley Hughes.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Horvath.
PRIVATE SERVICES WILL BE HELD FOR THE FAMILY ONLY. The Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, Amherst, handled the arrangements.
