Timothy Terrell Jackson's Obituary
Timothy Terrell Jackson passed away at home in Oberlin on January 30 th , 2021. He was born in Elyria,
Ohio on April 24, 1947 to Maurice and Dorothy (Terrell ) Jackson.
He attended schools in Elyria, moving to Parma in 1961 and graduating from Valley Forge High School in
1965. He married his wife, Rosanne (nee Flaherty} of Lorain in 1968. Tim began working in the shipping
department at US Steel in 1971 retiring in 2003. During his career, he was recognized with a certificate
citing his participation in a rescue effort which likely saved the life of an outside contractor who had
found himself in a life threatening situation.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, he participated on baseball and football teams during his school years in
Elyria. A child of the fifties, he preferred following sporting events on the radio and was a frequent
caller to sports talk shows. He enjoyed attending Indians’ games and always looked forward to
following college basketball teams during March Madness.
Tim was also a dog lover who enjoyed the company of five beloved fur kids over the course of his life
including four rowdy boxers and a wonderful shepherd mix.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Kelly Ann of Oberlin and Patricia Sue Wallace
(Doug) of DeKalb, IL; grandchildren Maeve Rose Wallace, William Robert Shaver, and Maya
Lurie Wallace; a sister Sue Keszei; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial wake will be held when a gathering can be planned safely. In lieu of flowers, the family
