My deepest condolences to all of Tim's family for your loss of a wonderful man. He was a very good friend of ours for several years, when he worked at Regal Shoes at Midway Mall with my ex husband Mike, before and after he came back from Vietnam too. He was such a great guy, we loved him as a friend. It seemed like he practically lived at our house sometimes. When he came back from Vietnam, we noticed how much it had changed him, it tore him up inside. He told us so many stories about his time there. We all went separate directions in 1975. I was in Ohio visiting family for several weeks around Memorial Day, I wish I would have looked at the paper, I would have gone to the services for him. I thought about him a lot over the years, and hoped he was happy wherever he was. I will always miss him, he was like a brother to us. Such a great guy, he would have done anything for his friends! Time drifted us apart but the love I had in my heart for him lives on. On the day of his passing I felt my Dad's presence shining down awaiting his little brother with open arms. I find comfort that " Uncle Terry & Bubba" have been reunited again.

I've held this part of a poem close to my heart" For this is a journey we all must take, and each must go alone. It’s all a part of the master’s plan, a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know.
Bear your sorrow in good deeds. Miss me, but let me go."

I knew Tim from St. John's school and high school. He was one of the nicest guys that I remember from those days. He always had the same smile that appears in the picture. After high school we all went in different directions. I had no idea that Tim served his country with distinction.

I wish we could have re-met before he passed so I could thank him for his service and our friendship.

My sweet little brother, Terry, as we called him from birth, is up there with Daddy and Bubba laughing at all of us and I could hit them all for it. As I look at the picture I see happiness and that is what you all were to him. He loved each of you so very much. So if you hear it thunder, know they are bowling with the Angels and are happy at last. Sharing so many memories of Memphis and Riverside Park walks. I love the song by Eric Clapon Tears in Heaven and it suits this time for us all. Listen to it when you can and know that they are all waiting for us at some point. We will know them in Heaven and they will know us too.
Each of us will miss him in so many different ways and while he is physically gone he is always with us in our hearts. Take that to sleep with you as it does help some. I can hear him talking to me on the phone and all that he talked to me about the Indian heritage in our family. He was so proud of that. Me. I was just happy to hear his voice. I will always love you Little brother, my baby brother.

My condolense to the family. I have not talk to Timothy since the 6th grade, at St. John's, after grade 6, my family moved out of the school district, and I never saw him much in high school, even though we went to the same school. But I had to share this with you. Out of the clear blue I thought of him a few weeks ago, and remembered a conversation we had about our birhtday, August 29, 1950. I stopped in my tracks and thought this was very strange and asked myself why I thought about that.
