Tom W. Lowry's Obituary
Tom W. Lowry, age 68, of Georgia, formerly of Lorain, passed away at his home in Acworth, GA on January 18th, 2023.
He was born on January 21, 1954 in Lorain and is a 1972 graduate of Admiral King High School. He lived a majority of his life in Lorain, just recently moving to Georgia in 2020.
Tom created, owned , and operated his own business, Main Street, where he was a mortgage broker and real estate Investor. He even hosted a weekly radio show about investing.
Tom enjoyed baseball and softball and was an avid Cleveland sports fan. He was a passionate collector of music and loved sharing with his friends his favorite listening’s of the week. He was a proud member of “No Hipsters,” always sharing and learning with other musicians. As a man of faith, Tom shared weekly teachings with his friends every Sunday. Tom and his wife, Sherry, loved and raised many German Shepherds over the years, most recently, Reine and Luke who were rescues.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry (nee Vaughn) Lowry; brothers, Kevin (Barbara) Lowry, of Amherst and Michael (Ada) Lowry, of Barrington, RI; his sister, Colleen (Dan) Sokol, of St. Augustine, FL; and his many nieces & nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Tom Lowry and mother, Marlene (nee Rumpler) Lowry.
