Victoria A. Rumpler's Obituary
Victoria A. Rumpler (nee Miechur), age 95, a lifelong resident of Lorain passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center.
She was born on September 4, 1922 in Lorain, Ohio to Frank and Kunegunda (nee Dudziak) Miechur. She attended Lorain High School.
Victoria worked as a floral designer for Zelek Flower Shop for 20 years. She was a member of Nativity BVM Catholic Church where she participated in their food program and AARP # 399. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and gardening.
She is survived by her son, Keith (Sue) Rumpler, of Amherst; daughter, Kimberly Ann Steffens( Brian Hunter), of Lakewood, CO; grandchildren, Ken (Vicki) Rumpler and Laura Chadwick.
Victoria was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Harold J. Rumpler, in 2010; brother, Joseph Miechur; and sisters, Anne Papay, Helen Godell, Angeline Roll, and Rose Miechur.
The Rumpler family will receive friends on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Closing prayers will be held on Friday, August 10th. at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral center followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Nativity BVM Catholic Church , 418 W. 15th. Street, Lorain. The Rev. Father Robert Glepko, Pastor, and Rev. Father Gerald Keller will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
