Virginia M. Sanders' Obituary
Virginia M. Sanders (nee Guthrie) passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Kingston Residence of Vermilion, Ohio. She was born on November 29, 1923.
Virginia graduated from Lorain High School Class of 1941-A as Valedictorian of the Class and President of the National Honor Society. She was awarded the Good Citizenship Pilgrimage Award, Nathan Perry Chapter D.A. R., and attended Cleveland College.
She was employed by Ohio Public Service Co. (now Ohio Edison Co.) for 46 years, secretary to the division manager for 30 years.
A lifetime member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Lorain, she was active in the church council and church choir.
Virginia was a member and past president of Professional Secretaries International, Lorain Chapter. She was a member of the Order of Eastern tars, Queen City Chapter.
Parents, James and Minnie (nee Farschman) Guthrie and brother, James M. Guthrie preceded her in death.
She is survived by her nephew, Eric J. Guthrie, of Houston, Texas and several cousins.
