Walker Sebastian's Obituary
Walker Sebastian, age 82, of Lorain passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at his home under the care of New Life Hospice.
He was born on November 11, 1933 in Hazard, Kentucky to Ray and Polly Sebastian. He served his country for 2 years with the 82nd. Airborne Division of the United States Army.
Walker retired from US Steel in 1988 after 36 years of service.
He was a member of Broadway Assembly Church in Lorain. He loved playing and watching the game of basketball and enjoyed fishing. Walker’s family was his world and nothing brought him greater joy than the time he spent with them. He was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.
Walker is survived by his wife of 61 years, Christine; his children, Stanley Sebastian, of Byseville, OH, Jeff Sebastian, of Lorain, Danny Sebastian, of Elyria, Rebecca Gute, of Lorain, Glenda Carman, of Lorain and Alice Woods, of Lorain; 22 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Sam Sebastian and Paul-David Sebastian; sisters, Maryann Miller, Fanny Ruth Caldwell and Irene Campbell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Polly Sebastian.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 28, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Broadway Assembly Church, 5495 Broadway Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 29th. at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Matt Jones will officiate. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
