Wayne R. Carver's Obituary
Wayne R. Carver, 83, of Lorain, passed away following a lengthy illness on Monday, November 24, 2025. He was born on May 26, 1942, in Lorain to the late Dale and Helen (née Koster) Carver and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Lorain High School and retired from Ohio Edison after 36 years as a lineman.
He attended The Gathering Church and enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife, Catherine, especially their trips to Florida, creating treasured memories together along the way. At home, Wayne tended to his garden and enjoyed time spent with family.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Catherine (née Kershaw) Carver; children Michelle Carver, Steve Carver, Ken Carver, and Dianne (Jim) Skentzos; seven grandchildren; four stepchildren; six step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; sister Karen Rodriguez; and brother Gary (Janice) Carver.
A memorial service will be held on December 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at The Gathering Church, 42515 Adelbert St., Elyria, OH 44035. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made online to Hospice of the Western Reserve at https://www.hospicewr.org/.
