William L. Caldwell Jr.'s Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William "Billy" L. Caldwell Jr. Billy passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at University Hospital in Cleveland after a lifelong struggle with cerebral palsy. He was 29 years old.
Billy was born on November 22, 1993, in Lorain, Ohio, to his parents, William L. Caldwell Sr. and Christine Caldwell (nee Stauder). Despite his condition, Billy lived a full and vibrant life, bringing joy and happiness to everyone he met.
Billy graduated from Elyria High School in 2014 and participated in the special needs little league baseball program. He had a passion for bowling, watching sports, horseback riding, and taking long car rides. He had a particular love for trucks and enjoyed watching Barney.
Billy had a heart of gold, and his infectious smile and warm personality endeared him to all who knew him. He loved giving hugs and kisses and had a way of making everyone feel special. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the Lorain community.
Billy is survived by his parents, William L. Caldwell Sr. and Christine Caldwell; sister, Breana Caldwell; grandmother, Daisy Gonzalez; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Catherine Caldwell; and his grandfathers, Robert Caldwell, and Richard Stauder.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 17th. at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral center. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
