William Albert Mihalic, age 86, of Amherst passed away at his home Tuesday, September 22, 2015 under the care of hospice and loved ones. He was born on December 25, 1928 in Lorain, Ohio to Jacob and Julia (nee Markovich) Mihalic. Read Obituary

We only knew Bill a short time, but we knew from the moment we met him that he was a gentleman, he was kind, he was smart, and he was caring. We send our deepest sympathies to all of your families. We know Bill was a big family man and enjoyed his many grandchildren and we also saw the love they had for him when Toni's family came down for a visit and we were able to meet the kids. You were very fortunate to have him as your dad, grandad, mentor, and friend and spouse.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Tom, Kathi, Berni and Louise . Even though we never spent time with you, Bill was a great person and gave us many good times with him and Olga at the VBC and on his boat. His was like by everyone that knew him. He will be missed. P/C Roger McCoy and Bernie.
Mr Mihalic's life was filled to the fullest. Happy marriages, wonderful families and a loving home were just some of the great things he accomplished. With so many children and grandchildren, his legacy will certainly live on.
I remember trips on the boat with Kathi and her parents with many fond memories. My sincere condolences to Kathi and the Mihalic family.

I am so sorry for you loss. I have wonderful memories of your dad. I will never forget him building the ice skating pond in the back yard every winter, taking us sledding and go carting. He even built us a balance beam and stilts of all sizes! What a wonderful father!
