Willis Senters' Obituary
Willis Senters, 99, of Lorain, Ohio, died peacefully at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home on November 10, 2021. Willis, the eldest of 13, was born in Louisa, KY in 1921 to Carl and Ethel Senters (nee Miller). Willis later became a Medic in the U.S. Army during World War II, with an Honorable Discharge in December 1945. In 1947, he married Dolly Senters (nee King) and they had two children, Johnny Lee and Sonja Ann. Searching for work, the Senters moved several times before calling Lorain, Ohio their home. He found employment at National Gypsum where he retired after 30+ years. Throughout his life, Willis enjoyed going for walks, riding his bike, listening to country music, reading, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his infant son, Johnny Lee Senters, parents, Carl and Ethel Senters (nee Miller), sisters, Ruby Garrett (nee Senters), Norma Letourneau (nee Senters), Clotene Fuller (nee Senters). brothers, Clyde Senters, Fred Senters, Bob Senters, Grover Senters, Irving Senters, Bud Senters, Curtis Senters, and William Senters.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Dolly Senters (nee King), daughter Sonja Rosario (nee Senters) and son-in-law, Evelio Rosario Jr., of Lorain, granddaughter, Stacy Gleason (nee Rosario) and her husband Anthony Gleason of Lorain, grandson Evelio Rosario III, of Powell, Ohio, and great grandson Liam Gleason and Lorenzo Rosario.
Private funeral services for the immediate family were held under the direction of the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
