I was very saddened to hear about Al's passing. He was a very large part of my early life growing up in North Ridgeville. We played little league baseball together, spent tons of time together camping, hiking and carousing in Boy Scout Troop 155, and loved our times playing cards with (and sometimes without) his parents. Al was one of the kindest people I ever knew, and I wish that I had done a better job of keeping up with him once I moved away. My heart goes out to all of you who are a part of his immediate and extended family.
I'm very sorry to hear of Allan's passing today from my bother Edward. Allan's parents Bob and Lois were very good friends of my parents, Joseph and Virginia Holtwick. I believe Bob and Lois may have introduced them to one another. Or at least they were great friends before getting married and starting families. Anyway, we were great family friends when they lived in Elyria and then when they moved to the "farm" in North Ridgeville. I remember playing in the barn and Allan providing my first cigarette which gratefully didn't become a habit. Thanks for the posted the picture of Allan. He looks exactly as I remember, just a little older. Joe
Our deepest condolences to the family.
Al loved life! We enjoyed many bonfires, cookouts and laughs at our farm.
We will miss our visits.

My prayers are with you and your family. I will always remember the good times growing up in North Ridgeville and the memories in Troop 155 in the
Boy Scouts.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you for the best of everything. God bless.
