People had to leave Eastern Kentucky in order to find employment. Some settled in one state and some in another. This created many of us being apart and seldom having the opportunity to visit. However, we didn't forget each other. On the occasional visits we still enjoyed being together. I have an outstanding memory of Barbara and I in a Geography class together at McDowell High School, McDowell, Ky. I called her 40 gallon drum and my sister Nadine 60 gallon drum. My sister gave me a very good fitting nick name of Slim Gizzard. Memories are great and we will always remember Barbara.
