I was very surprised to hear of Bruce's death. My heart goes out to his entire family. I remember Bruce throwing stones at my bare feet in the summer when your family lived on Harris Street. My your loss be filled with fond memories of Bruce.

To the dear family of Bruce, please accept my deepest sympathy. Bruce was a very dear friend to my sister, Carol Ann Howell. Bruce brought such a sense of caring, for our sister during the loss of her husband, Butch, also Bruce"s dear friend. During his stays at her house, he was quite the handy man, he could fix almost anything and with such detail. Although, a rather quiet man, I found him very interesting to talk to, once we became acquainted. He attended many family parties over the years, always lending a hand in the preparations. He and I washed many a dish together, laughing & talking while cleaning up after the festivities. Our family was always happy to see him when he came to Toledo for visits. He was a very kind man and the world, like your family, has lost a wonderful "old soul". May he rest in peace. It is my prayer, that in time. you also will find peace within your hearts. I just received word of Bruce's death. I am so saddened. There are no words to express the sense of loss you and your family must be feeling as I try to accept it myself. Bruce was a hero to me. He stepped in amd took care of me and my house after Butch died. Bruce was always there for me. I was not there for him during his hour of need....I am so sorry. I know he will be watchimg over me, along with Butch. Thank you, Mrs Lyle, for your son. My life was enriched by knowing Bruce!
