Mrs. Dickerson was my third grade teacher at Powers. Her and her husband just so happened to be my bro or till I was 13 and lived caddy corner from me in Amherst. Truly a dedicated educator and wonderful person! RIP

Cathy was a joy to teach with at Powers. She was cheerful & kind & a loving, nurturing educator. Cathy loved music & was an advocate for music being an integral part of the curriculum. We were thrilled when our younger daughter Melanie had Cathy for her 2nd grade teacher. She adored her and her students learned how to write cursive beautifully!
You will be dearly missed my friend!

Condolences to the family of Cathy. I taught with her and found her to be always cheerful and optomistic regardless of the situation at hand. She was diligent about her students and always spoke with love about her daughters....I know she will be missed by many.
