Connie E. Butler's Obituary
Connie E. Butler (nee Ilcisko), age 62, of Lorain, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016 after a lengthy illness.
She was born on September 4, 1953 in Lorain and has lived her entire life in Lorain and Amherst. She was raised within and attended St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church. Connie was employed by Amherst Schools, working in the Library. It was not just a job for her though. She truly loved what she did and enjoyed working with the children. With her free time, she also enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, and tending to her garden.
Connie is survived by her 4 loving children; Sarah (Kevin) Walker, of Avon, Emily Butler, of Chicago, Alison Butler, of Wellington, and Matt (Ann-Marie) Butler, of Amherst, 5 beautiful grandchildren; Katie Walker, Zach Walker, Ben Walker, Sophia Butler, and John Butler, her mother, Helen Ilcisko (nee Urban), of Lorain, brothers; Dave Ilcisko, of Amherst and Dan Ilcisko, of Vermilion, and her sisters; Kathy Sponseller, of LaGrange, KY and Laurie Bainbridge, of Pleasureville, KY.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Ilcisko.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 1, from 3 to 6 PM, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Her funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 2, at 10:00 AM, also in the Funeral Center. The Rev. Fr. Nicholas Rachford, Pastor of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
