Dear Jenkins Family,
We were very sad to hear of David's passing. I would run into David from time to time and it was always good to talk with him for a few minutes. Sometimes he looked better than others but he didn't really dwell on his problems he was always more interested in hearing how someone else was doing or who I'd seen lately. I just spoke with him again a couple weeks ago, at a bank, he was making arrangements to help another friend. I walked away feeling sad because I could tell he wasn't feeling all that well, but also heart-warmed because here was a guy not doing so well himself, but instead of feeling sorry for himself was setting about to help someone else.
May he rest in peace comfortably in Our Lords Hands.
To the Jenkin's Family - My deepest sympathy to all of you. I went to high school with Dave and in future year's, he would stop at the bowling center and have a cup of coffee, while he was on his meter reading route. I ran into him several weeks ago and he was so upbeat on getting better. As always, he would never dwell on his illness, just asked about everyone in my family. Dave will be deeply missed - he was a wonderful, kind person. He suffers no more, may he rest in peace.

Sending my deepest condolences to Dave's family. It was so sad to hear about his passing. In the 20 plus years that I knew Dave, the first thing that came to mind is how much his family will miss him, his family meant everything to him and how very important they were, whenever he talked about any member of his family he would be grinning from ear to ear and you could see the pride and joy he felt talking about his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews, he truly cared about his family and he knew how much they cared about him, he will be missed very much by so many people that he has touched during his life. Anybody that knew Dave would tell you that he was really a great guy, he was willing to help anyone if they needed it, and was always thoughtful and friendly and yes I agree with the other poster he was always smiling and if you ran into him somewhere he would stop to talk and ask how things were going. He fought a long tough battle but never gave up hope, RIP Dave.
