David Jenkins' Obituary
David Jenkins, age 58, of Lorain, died on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Lorain Community Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born on December 26, 1951 in Painesville, Ohio. He came with his family to Lorain as a child and has lived in this area ever since.
David spent most of his working years at the Lorain Docks as a long shore man for the Toledo, Lorain and Fairport Co.
He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. David was kind hearted and often gave what little he had to others.
He is survived by his father, Joseph (Jennie) Jenkins, of Scottsdale, AZ; his brothers, Tom and Jim, both of Westlake; his sisters, Kay Jenkins, of Rhode Island, Karen (Gary) Wright, of Rockledge, FL and Jane (Mike) Chernosky, of Elyria Twp; and 11 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine (nee LaRose) Jenkins in 2007.
A memorial reception will be held Saturday, August 14, 2010 from 11:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Jackalope Lakeside restaurant party room (3rd. floor), 301 Lakeside Ave.- Spitzer Marina, Lorain. David’s family welcomes friends.
