Dave was a wonderful, kind and interesting person. I had the pleasure of working with him at Avon Lake High School. I will always remember his kindness and sense of humor. I hope the former staff see his obituary as I know they will all say the same thing. Dave was the assistant principal at Learwood Junior High in Avon Lake when I taught 7th and 9th grade English there during school years 1974 to 1980. Working with him was a privilege: he was a responsible, dedicated educator and treated students and teachers in a fair manner. Please accept my sincere sympathy for your loss of Dave and know that many of us in the teaching profession are remembering him fondly and mourning the loss of one of our own.
