David A. Monos' Obituary
It is with profound sadness in our hearts that the family of David A. Monos announces his passing on June 28, 2023.
Dave was the second son of Gilbert and Helen Monos. He ws born at St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain on September 15, 1940. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Dennis and Gary; grandson, Daniel Martin Becker; and great-grandson, Kristopher Caden Becker. He is survived by his son, Scott (Tracey) Monos, and daughter, Jennifer (Dwayne) Becker; wife, Sarah Amsted Monos; grandson, Jonah Becker; and his brother, Gilbert (Judy) Monos, of Anthem, Arizona.
Dave graduated from Clearview High School and matriculated to Kent State University where he received Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Education. He was a highly respected educator in the Avon Lake School system. Those who knew him, knew a man who stayed true to his down-to-earth roots and who, above all, enjoyed time spent in the warmth of family and with the laughter of friends, He will be sorely missed.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at Matus Winery, 15674 Gore Orphanage Road, Wakeman, Ohio 44889.
