Gary E. Malott, age 75, of Lorain, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Good Shepherd Hospital, in Ashland, OH. He was born on March 31, 1945 in Cleveland. He moved to Elyria in the early 1990’s and then finally moved to Read Obituary
So very sorry to hear about Gary's passing. Gary eased my fear of riding on a boat, I was fortunate to spend an amazing day with him, Denise, Noelle, and our kids on beautiful Lake Erie where after that day I never had a fear of riding on a boat. Rest easy and thank you.
My heart goes out the the Malott family during this difficult time. I had the honor of serving as WM of Bedford Lodge and always appreciated Gary's friendship and guidance. We both served in Vietnam. Although we lost touch over the years I still can recall some great times we shared.

I met Gary through my working with Denise. I felt fortunate that he shared some military memories with me. One of my best visuals of Gary was sitting on the front porch...barefooted. He sure enjoyed his porch. His medical struggles were unpleasant and the process, a sad one. Rest in peace my friend.

Where do I start? We shared an important part of our lives 50 years ago in a faraway place. Luckily we were able to reconnect after many years, and enjoy some good remembrances. You will be missed to all of us that had the privilege of knowing you. Rest now my friend. Healing prayers go out to Denise and your families.
Will never forget while skiing at Snowshoe resort, WV; a young kid tried to jump on the chairlift with Gary and others at the last second and quite unannounced. When they all sat & the kid fell over he yelled, “ Santa Claus pushed me off the lift!” Gary, of course, felt terrible. We never laughed so hard!
