Gerardo Corcino, age 87, of Lorain, passed away Friday, January 27, 2012 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain after a lengthy illness. Born on December 25, 1924 in Luguillo, Puerto Rico he came to Lorain in 1947 to work at U.S Read Obituary
I was saddened to learn of the loss of Gero. I'm sorry that I didn't get to know him all that well in the five years that I've been a part of the family. What I do know is that he always took the minute or two to ask about my parents and family whenever Joe, the boys and I would come for a visit.

My condolences, may peace be with him. I didn't have the privilege of knowing him but I had the great honor of knowing his wonderful daughter Myrna Jones. Based on her pure heart and beautiful spirit I know for sure he was a great man. I am so sorry to hear about this. I know this is a very hard time I cant even imagine but always remember he's in a better place looking down on his beautiful family. Let us thank God that such a great man lived.
Gero was one of the kindest, most genuine and happy people I've ever had the pleasure of having in my life. It has, and was, such an honor to let me be a part of his. He had plenty of family, and yet he had room in his heart to carry one more as a grand-daughter. He was an amazing man and someone with whom I've learned true unconditional love from. He and his family are treasures.
