How will we remember Reverend Israel 'Baby' Garcia...perhaps a Loving Father, Son, Husband, Grandfather, Teacher, Relative, Friend, Pastor ...many have met Jesus Christ through him...perhaps you'll remember him when he married you, when he baptized you, when he buried your relatives and comforted you. Rev Garcia will be remembered for his fiery sermons!...his warmth and gentleness...in practical things like when he came over and got my car out of the snow so that I can get to work...in generosity for all the folks he helped in their time of need...Baby will be remembered for 'his Bible' which accompanied him most everywhere he went...many girls in his teen years remember that 'Jimmy Dean look' he sported so handsomely as a teen!...he was my 1st boyfriend, my 1st kiss, my 1st Pastor, and a dear Friend... He touched many lives while he lived on Earth. He visited the sick, elderly & prisoners...Baby was a Pentecostal. Yes, 'de la cabeza a los pies!' -'from head to toe!' He would say!... I loved how Baby could be 'All things to all people.' How he could go from a stern rebuke to gentle advice. Like when he brought Moises, r.i.p. to Jesus Christ and when Moises was inside the bar he went to get him out. Haha! He knew his sheep and he was there in any way they needed him. But most importantly, we will all bury him with the assurance that he lives with God eternally. And I know that is the comfort in the hearts of his children, family and friends. "Baby, you left so many memories that you will never be forgotten. When we think of you, we think of Jesus. You leave us a beautiful legacy! Your work for Jesus continues on on Earth through the lives you touched. Well done my Friend. No more suffering. You will forever be surrounded by Love, Peace, & Beauty! In that we all take comfort.
