Jack M. Rosso's Obituary
Jack M. Rosso, age 97, of Lorain, passed away late Monday, August 18, 2014.
He was born on July 20, 1917 to the late John and Frances Rosso, the 11th of 12 children born to them. He graduated from Lorain High School in 1935. He joined the United States Navy and served a four year term at Norfolk, VA. He received his accounting degree and began his own firm in 1950 retiring in 2013 after 53 years. He was a member of the State of Ohio CPA’s. Through his work he met and made many friends and kept in touch with them even after his retirement. He was proud to have many mentors among them.
He enjoyed golfing, reading, and spending time on his computer. Up until his recent illness, Jack did most of his own cooking, especially Italian, and he did light housekeeping. Jack was a caring and generous man often sharing what he had with the needy.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Camille Ahrman (Don), and grandchildren, Amanda Krauss (Kyle), Don Malusky (Shorey) and Lance Malusky; his great-grandchildren, Landon Krauss, Viviana Krauss and Matthew Malusky; his sister, Rose M. Diso; his very special friend, Kay Lynnet; his special nephew, Robert Bove (Dee) and many other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Don Marshall Rosso; his brothers and their wives, John (Goldie) and Samuel (Florence) and his sisters and their husbands, Frances (Fred) Montalto, Lena (Anthony) Sofia, Christine (John) Bove, Josephine (Cal) Dimacchia, Sarah (Vincent) Russo and Marianne (Frank) Mucha.
Graveside service will be held be held for family and friends on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. in Ridge Hill Memorial Park. (Please meet right inside of cemetery entrance). Rev. Fr. Gerald Keller will officiate.
The Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, Amherst, handled the arrangements.
